Gratitude Week at Riverstone

Valentine’s Day: The heart-shaped, pink-hued holiday that fills some with fuzzies and others with dread. Will I get a card? Who got the most candy? At Riverstone, we love the sentiment of Valentine’s Day but recognize the potential for the holiday to turn into a popularity contest among children. That’s why we celebrate Gratitude Week instead.

Over the week of Valentine’s we celebrate friendship and express our gratitude for one another. Students, teachers, and staff decorate a shoe box which everyone then fills with notes and small gifts; everyone feels the love and in equal measure. Each person here is unique, important, and make irreplaceable contributions to Riverstone. This is what makes our school so special. Gratitude Week is a chance to say, thank you for being you.

Under Construction: Gratitude Boxes.
